With this original painting I wanted to capture the underlying strength and power of the standing, watchful bull. I painted this on 2 panels to give a sense of depth. On the central panel with the bulls face I used a lot of texture created with scrunched up paper combined with gesso. The horns are built up with modelling paste and have a real sculptural quality.
